Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are counted at face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely appear as the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a total of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a score of eight or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays 8 to one and on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. However odds are significantlly better – nine to 1 versus eight to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future events. Keeping track of past results on a chart is a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful method is the 1-3-2-six method. This tactic is deployed to increase earnings and reducing risk.

commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
