Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five has a value of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay 8 to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are richly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When played properly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Tracking of old conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the one-3-two-six technique. This plan is used to increase payout and controlling risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
