Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly act as the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and five results in a score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Even so odds are remarkably better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of past outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-three-two-six scheme. This schema is used to accentuate payout and cutting back risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
