Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are give a value of their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely depict the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven and five has a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be dealt depending on the following standards:
- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, each bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays eight to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try laying money on a tie. Still, odds are significantly better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)
When played effectively, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of historic results on a chart is a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the one-3-2-six scheme. This scheme is employed to increase payout and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
