Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are said to be worth face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just symbolize the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 … 5 will have a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. However odds are considerably better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done correctly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of last conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six technique. This tactic is employed to increase earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
