Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are said to be worth face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 and five results in a value of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at 8 to one but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than 1 every ten hands. be cautious of wagering on a tie. Still, odds are radically better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Played accurately, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of historic outcomes on a chart is simply a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six technique. This technique is deployed to build up payouts and lowering risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
