Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the following protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are appreciably better – nine to one versus eight to one)

Played properly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future outcomes. Monitoring of prior outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six method. This scheme is employed to accentuate wins and cutting back risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
