Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just act as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 will have a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pay out 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are significantly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played smartly, baccarat provides generally good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of prior results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six concept. This plan is used to accentuate profits and minimizing risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
