Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are counted at face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 will have a total of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is an awful bet as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Still, odds are noticeably better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat presents generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Keeping track of old outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful method is the one-three-2-six method. This plan is deployed to build up winnings and minimizing risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
