Baccarat banque is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the cards, although the first number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of 1 (five plus six = 11; ditch the initial ‘1′).
A additional card may be given using the following rules:
- If the gambler or house gets a total of 8 or 9, both players stand.
- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on a total lower than five. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The larger of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the house payout nineteen to Twenty (even payout less a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and paid off once you depart the game so make sure you have funds remaining just before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)
Wagered on properly baccarat banque gives fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy
As with all games punto banco has a few established myths. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.
The most accepted and possibly the most successful scheme is the 1-3-2-6 method. This method is used to build up winnings and limit risk.
Start by betting one unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold six on the table, pull off 4 so you are left with 2 on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the third wager, deposit two on the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.
Should you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a loss of one. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the 1st three with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four bets gives you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to lose the second wager 5 instances for each successful streak of four rounds and in the end, break even.
