Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are of face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 gives a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to one and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are substantially better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When done properly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of past conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 concept. This technique is used to build up wins and cutting back risk.
start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
